february notes

In summer 2025, I had the initial idea for an app centered on women and underrepresented communities. It started as a question more than a solution.

Since Haas isn’t accessible to me at the moment, I’ve been learning business and product independently—through experimentation, hands-on building, and learning by doing.

In January 2026, I decided to test my assumptions and shared a form to understand whether this need still exists, with a particular focus on communities in Madagascar and the Philippines. The responses were clear enough to move from questioning to action.

By the end of January, I began building a first prototype. I’ll be releasing it soon, with the intention of co-creating something that is genuinely useful and meaningful.

ProductCon is approaching, and I’m curious about what it might bring—connections, perspective, or simply momentum.

Alongside this, I’m actively looking for a Product Owner role within a startup or small team, ideally in edtech, fintech, mediatech, or culture tech. My focus is on discovery and MVP delivery, deeply informed by what I’m learning through building my own products. If this aligns with your work or values, let’s connect—intentionally.

I’ve often been encouraged to “activate my network.” In reality, this usually translates to distant connections—someone who knows someone who might help. Most of the time, it leads nowhere. The follow-up is familiar and well-intended: it’s not about your qualifications, the needs are different, your profile is atypical. Atypical becomes a label more than a strength.

Even people meant to guide you can make you doubt your place. No clear space for juniors. No clear space for seniors. Two years later, I’m still here—still searching but at least keep…building.

Too late to say Happy New Year.
So, happy February!
