I was pretty optimistic about landing a job by August 15. But, as often happens, reality didn’t exactly match my expectations. Right now, it feels like there’s a mountain in the middle of the road, as P!nk once sang — slowing me down, testing my patience, and reminding me that survival mode can drag on longer than we’d like.
I may have to take another “pay-the-bills” job… Still, I haven’t stopped moving forward, chasing THE job, with a few HR professionals following up. In the meantime, I’m focused on building my future in Berkeley Haas — working on strategy, setting a roadmap, and laying some solid foundations.
This summer, I:
- Grew my LinkedIn network by 200+ new connections.
- Built and finished my comeNpense app in Bubble (no-code + scrum mode), in 15 days. Check out my case studies section if you’re curious.
- Deepened my scrum and agile knowledge with guidance from a professional trainer and leader.
- And yes, I applied like crazy, sending out 300+ applications — even if most of it felt like shouting into the void.
The mountain is still there, but step by step, I’m learning how to chip away at it. I believe this will come to an end…
For now, I’m making the most of these last warm and sunny days.
Bonne rentrée!
