I’m thrilled — I’ve earned my certificate! I launched my freelance career this past April, full of joy and excitement for the new chapter ahead. But as the months went by, the reality of the challenges became clear. Breaking into a field that’s already oversaturated is no small feat. I even considered going back to a traditional job, but the market feels even more discouraging. Job postings are absurd these days — asking for 3 to 5 years of experience for junior roles!

I’ve been keeping busy with additional training and certificates —I could practically start a collection! The idea was to demonstrate my expertise, but it’s starting to feel pointless. Finding clients has proven to be incredibly difficult. To make ends meet, I’ve taken on side jobs. I now juggle three different résumés and am even thinking about becoming a barista — LOL! Considering my love for coffee shops, maybe it’s not such a bad idea?

As the year winds down, it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed, but I’m holding onto hope for what 2025 will bring. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
